Our mission at Empathidoc is to be a partner with our clients, to help them take the next step on their healing journey. We believe within every human being there is a healing force that when supported with empathy and state of the art quality care can transform their emotional pain. Our care is focused on striking a balance between relief of symptoms and also helping each client get to the root of their symptoms so they can reach their full potential in life.

We do this through an Empathic Therapeutic Relationship, Thorough Psychiatric Assessments, Medication Management and Individual Psychotherapy.

Amol Chaugule MD

I am Amol Chaugule MD a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist located in Houston, TX, specializing in a combination of Medication Management and multiple psychotherapeutic approaches ( ISTDP and IFS) for Adults struggling with multiple conditions.

I truly believe in meeting my clients where they are and am a partner with them in developing a treatment plan that includes multiple modalities ...including Medication management, Psychotherapy, Sleep, Exercise and Meditation. My care is focused on striking a balance between relief of symptoms and also helping each client get to the root of their symptoms so they can reach their full potential in life.

After attending Grant Medical College in India, I entered Psychiatry training at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. During Residency training I attended the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia Psychotherapy and Fellowship Program to expand and grow my psychotherapeutic skills. After my training, I stayed on as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Penn State Hershey Medical Center where I was actively involved in teaching and supervising residents and medical students. I completed a 3-year Core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and am a IEDTA Certified ISTDP Therapist. I was also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at The Baylor College of Medicine and a Staff Psychiatrist at the Outpatient Assessment Program at The Menninger Clinic in Houston. Being a Psychiatrist allows me to integrate Psychotherapy and Medications (if needed) for the maximum benefit of my clients.

Aside from my work, I enjoy meditating, listening to music, and spending time with my family.
